I apologize for the delay in posts, but it is that time of the year again where school takes over my life. I am super excited since it is my last semester of my undergraduate career… crazy!! Of course, I have to pass all of my classes first.
This past weekend my handsome boyfriend and I went out for some night of dancing. I had a blast and for sure danced our night away. This outfit that I am sharing with you is what I wore and something I recommend. Earlier that day it was raining and a bit chilly, I went for jeans and a leather jacket to make sure I didn’t get cold after the dance (baile) was over. One of the recommendations I have for date nights that include dancing for long periods of time, is comfortable heels. If you can’t stand high heels, definitely go for the shorter (4in) heels or flats of course. I usually wear these when I know I will be out for awhile to make sure my feet don’t kill at the end of the night 🙂
I hope you enjoyed this post! & always make sure to include “date nights” in your weeks to relieve the stress from work, school, etc. 🙂

December Favorites

Hello Everyone,
I wanted to share with you my Top 5 December Beauty Favorites. All of these products I bought before December and have been using them pretty much daily. These are just my opinions on the products and I understand everyone is different with different taste.
Hope you enjoy!

Philosophy Purity Made Simple 3-in-1 Cleanser
This past month I wore a lot of darker liquid lipsticks, and having this cleanser helped a ton. What I normally do is use another product to remove most of my makeup, and then use a wet wipe to wipe the excess off. I then use this cleanser, add a bit of water, and it cleans thoroughly so all the makeup comes off.
I know it is a bit more expensive then most cleansers but this 8fl. oz bottle has lasted me 6 months and I still have quite some more left. Thank you to my bestie who gifted it to me.

MAYBELLINE Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation
Talk about an inexpensive product that actually works. I used this product most of December and I love it! I have oily skin and yeah, maybe a foundation won’t fix that, but it sure helps when I wear it. It lasts about 5-7 hours I want to say, and then I just begin to get more oily throughout the day (but that’s just my skin). I love the way it wears because it covers the imperfections yet makes it look natural. It is only $8 so give it a try 🙂

Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade
This is one of my favorite products for my eyebrows and definitely something I use everyday. I bought this product almost a year ago and I still have a lot left before I need to repurchase. I use a little bit since I have a natural arch in my brow, but it still helps it look more defined. This is a must in your makeup bag!

MAYBELLINE Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circle Treatment Concealer
I barely started wearing makeup when I turned 20 maybe even 21 and this was the first concealer I every bought (a year ago). I have repurchased it once, and as you can see I have to purchase it again. I have also tried the Fit Me concealer by Maybelline, but hands down this one is my favorite. It covers your dark circles really well. If you use a good powder on top, it lasts all day and looks really natural.

SMASHBOX Travel Size Photo Finish Foundation Primer
A key to making your foundation look good is a good skincare routine and a primer. I have been using this primer for a little bit over a year now. I first got a Smashbox kit and it had this primer but in a really small size, smaller than the travel size I linked. I love how it makes my skin feel even before I apply foundation. It also helps my makeup last longer throughout the day. I would recommend getting the travel size before splurging on the actual size since it is more than double the cost of the travel one.

Hello & Happy New Year!!
So thankful for all the wonderful things that happened this past year. At times we don’t realize all that we accomplish until we look back at the year. Sometimes I focus so much on moving forward that I forgot to stop and reflect. So here is a life tip: take a couple of minutes of your day and just simply reflect on positive thoughts.
There are many things on my to do list for 2016, but before I share those I wanted to get a post up of one of my favorite looks this winter. I am in love with the vest and long sleeve look. I picked up this vest at local shop here in Reno, but there are so many online stores that carry them.
Thank you for all the support with my blog 🙂

Plaid in December

Hello,
Who said plaid isn’t still “in” in December? I personally think you can wear plaid throughout the whole year. I am not a big fan of red, but it is definitely a must for the holiday season. Do not be afraid to wear casual clothes, spice it up with some booties or a hat. That is exactly what I did for this casual Friday look.
I hope you enjoyed this post!

Holiday Decor
Happy Holidays!
I am super excited for Christmas and the holidays that I wanted to decorate my home. My boyfriend and I hadn’t decorated a tree before and this was our first one, it was pretty special :). All of these products were super affordable. Most of them were from the Dollar Tree, Michael’s, Big Lots, Target, and my candle is from Bath and Body Works. I hope you get some inspiration to decorate your home.
