Simple Easter Look
[slideshow_deploy id=’1693′]
I can’t believe how fast Easter got here. Think about it, it’s already been 4 months into the year…crazy! I really hope it stays nice this weekend for some BBQ and egg hunting! I usually spend Easter with my family in Yerington and love seeing how cute my nieces’ outfits are. They are seriously THE cutest!

I wanted to share with you an outfit with some pants because if the weather is bad you can at least stay warm. I paired these pink pants with this off the shoulder top that I purchased last year. I didn’t get much use out of it last year because I purchased it closer to the end of summer, beginning of fall. Anyways, it works perfectly for this spring. Monochromatic colors are very trendy right now, and although I am not much of a “pink” person I do like light shades of pink.
I did want to talk about the heels I am wearing. I also purchased them last year, and linked them to this post, as well as some similar options that I found. I also found some similar ones at my local TJMaxx and Marshalls last year. Don’t be shy and check out other stores in your local area. Many brands are jumping on the bandwagon of trends and coming up with similar affordable styles as well.
I hope everyone has a wonderful time this weekend, whether you celebrate Easter or not. It is always a great time well spent with loved ones. Today is Alonso’s birthday so we are heading out for some dinner. I can’t believe it has been almost 10 years that I have known him. It’s so crazy to think you’ve witnessed someone grow up almost half their life!

Black & White Spring Look
[slideshow_deploy id=’1675′]
I wore this look this past weekend when Alonso and I went out to run some errands. I actually wore some smaller heels or else I couldn’t walk around the whole day like this. I still think it is appropriate to wear black and white in the spring. It may seem too dark for some, but I feel if you add some type of light color to the outfit, like white, you can make it work. We all know how much we love black because we can pair it with pretty much anything.
I purchased my heels from Charlotte Russe about a year or two ago for such an affordable price. I like how mine are really affordable dupes for this pair from Valentino for $1,045. My pair were probably under $30, if I recall. I also linked some similar ones that are affordable.
My jeans are boyfriend jeans that are also from Charlotte Russe. I picked them up in a bigger size, which I regret. I like skinny jeans but sometimes they are too tight if you know what I mean. However, since these were boyfriend jeans I should have known they would be big on me.
If you ever want to find dupes for items you see are trending, I suggest you look at online stores. They always try to carry some of the items that are popular. Some of my favorite stores are Forever 21, Charlotte Russe, OOTDFash, and also Lulu’s. Don’t be afraid to try a new place out!

Skincare Products I’ve Been Using | Acne.Org

Skincare should be one of the most important things we should care about. If our skincare looks good our makeup will look good. If our skin doesn’t look good our makeup won’t look its best. I have struggled with scarring for a couple of years. It isn’t super bad, but it isn’t pretty either. I wanted to share with you some products I have been using since about the end of August, beginning of September. The three-step system is called Acne.Org. It includes a cleanser, treatment, and moisturizer.
With only two months in, I was able to see the difference. See the picture above for the before and about two months in. This was me following the steps and not touching ANY pimple. Let me clarify this because if you watched my video you’re probably wondering, wait so did you still break out during the regimen or not? Before I ever used the system I would always get random little pimples here and there, it was never really “acne”. I would pop them and the scarring would stay. I would use other products but they didn’t work fast enough (Side Note: I do recall using apple cider before I used the regimen and hated it! I know they say use it on your skin and it works like magic but it irritated my skin) because next thing you knew it was that time of the month and I would get more pimples. Anyways, I would again pop them so this was the reoccurring pattern. I needed to find something that helped stop me from getting pimples so I could focus on removing the current scarring I had. As you can see from the picture it was working. For about 7 weeks I had no pimples at all.
After a couple of months into using the regimen I would feel a small bump on my face and automatically think it was a pimple and I would mess around with it ALL day. It was so unnecessary because I could just apply some of the products and it would do the job for me. I seriously need to stop touching my face. So when I kept messing with it I saw that I was creating scarring, even though I had just gotten rid of almost all of the previous scarring I had. This was really my fault, so lesson learned LEAVE YOUR FACE ALONE! I started using the AHA, and noticed it really does work for scarring. Check out this video that explains why AHA is better than abrasive exfoliants. I have been using it every other day and noticed my scarring is fading away.
I do 100% recommend these products especially if your scarring or acne is worse than mine. I try my best to be transparent and honest. If you follow me on snapchat you know I always snap without filters or even without makeup. Be confident in your skin, everyone struggles with something but at the end of the day only you can love yourself the most.
I will still be using the regimen for another six months and share with you my progress after a year, so be on the lookout for that! To some, my before and after may not be a huge difference but to me it was because I would try everything to help with scarring and everything made my face feel smooth but my scarring was still there.
For more explanation about the three step system, check out the video I made below.
An Easy Everyday Braid
I know how difficult it is every morning to wake up and not only have to rush to put makeup on or choose your outfit, but also deciding what to do with your hair. Most people, like myself, have wavy/textured hair so whatever I decide to do with my hair it has to be something that can control it. One of the things I found to be convenient is doing some type of braid with my hair. Some people freak with they hear the words “braid” because they automatically assume it is very difficult. However, it actually is not that bad, once you give it a try!
Sharing with you an easy braid today that can be accomplished on those days when we are rushing out the door. I must admit, that was me this morning. It’s Friday, and you know those days when you are just wanting the weekend to get started already, well that’s exactly how I felt. This braid is a one-sided braid that has two simple steps.
The first step is to take a small portion closest to your face and start doing a regular dutch braid. If you want a step by step of what the dutch braid actually is, check it out here. So once you are doing braiding that small section to the side of your face use a small elastic band and tie it at the end. At this point you should still have the rest of your hair out, this will be made into another braid along with the one you just finished.
This picture is a little step further, but I will explain what I did. I grabbed the braid I just made and the rest of my hair and separated into three sections to do a regular french braid. Here is a step by step for a french braid. I completed the braid until I had no more hair and used another elastic band to tie it at the end. The reason I have two different braids in one is because more often than not, My hair always falls out but this will help keep the first braid in place.
I hope you like these types of posts. Don’t be shy and leave me a comment down below on what other type of hair tutorials you want to see next. Also, if you haven’t noticed there is a “Pin it” button on each picture to share on Pinterest, pin this easy hair style!
Spring Wish List from MISSGUIDED

[slideshow_deploy id=’1636′]
I am such a big fan of a new season, especially spring or fall, of course. I just love the warmer weather where it’s not too hot nor too cold, you know what I mean? So I decided to put a little wish list together for this new season. I have been stalking Missguided’s website for awhile now because they have such cute pieces. I want to purchase all the items I mention to you today, but I want to wait until I for sure know Reno isn’t going to have a snowstorm. This crazy weather is very unpredictable!
First off, let’s talk about this cute skirt. I saw it and was completely in aw! It is perfect for spring, especially for Easter. I love the light neutral shades because they scream for spring. This skirt is perfect because you can wear it for church, to work (if it’s not too short on you), or on special occasions where you just want to be put together. I think this skirt would look great if paired with a cute white or light colored blazer and some nude heels!
This off the shoulder top is a must for my wish list. The colors, the details, it is just an over all beautiful top. I love how tops like this look great paired with jeans or even shorts, and even a cute denim skirt. Off the shoulder tops were very popular last year and I still feel they will continue to be a trend this spring and summer.
White jeans are a top on my wish list because I seriously can’t keep a pair for more than a couple of months. I always have to get them dirty with some type of food. They are hard to keep clean to be completely honest. However, this pair of white jeans are making my list because they are not only skinny but they have a little ripped patch. If you follow me, you know how much I love ripped jeans. White jeans are essential for spring because they stay with the neutral shade colors and you can always wear white with anything. You always want to purchase those items that are versatile and you can pair them with anything so you can get the most for your buck.
Lastly, these sandals are way too cute to not want to purchase. The studded sandals are pretty trendy and I love how they make a statement. If you were to pair these sandals, with the white jeans, and the off the shoulder top, you have yourself a perfect spring look! (I might just make a blog post on it haha). Try searching for neutral shoes for this spring season so you can pair them with pretty much anything.
So that wraps up my small wish list from Missguided, at the moment. Missguided has really cute pieces, I hope you get some little inspiration on what they currently have in stock. Tweet me on my Twitter some pieces that you want on your wish list for this spring!
